Keep a look out for updates and volunteer opportunities on our Instagram and Facebook pages. Weʻd love for those interested in helping while Makaliʻi is in drydock before her sail June to come out and lend a hand.
Currently, Makaliʻi is undergoing some fiberglass grinding work on the lower hulls in preparation for re-glassing. We anticipate it taking another 2 weeks to finish this phase so if you have experience with this kind of work please let us know. Bring your own respirators, tyvek suits will be provided.
During the month of February, there will be lots of sanding and varnishing to be done as well as glassing the hulls.

Nā Kālai Waʻa is a non-profit organization that depends heavily on donated funding and materials. Here is a humble list of goods and materials that the organization could use to help facilitate our programs or to ensure our vesselsʻ safety and integrity. This is is not a complete reflection of our organization needs, it is just a small start.
